MASKWA WASKAHIKAN

Maskwa-Waskahikan is a three bed sibling home for three sisters, aged 10, 12 and 14. This home has been designed to be these siblings forever home. To better fit the needs of these youth and their family relationships, this particular program provides accommodation for the father of the girls by supporting him as he lives next door. Our professional team members are positive role models and advocates who are nurturing and respectful of youth, their individual developmental needs, their families and their culture. Our team members are also well versed in trauma informed practice so as to best care for and nurture youth who have experienced trauma in their lives. In particular, our Team strives to promote healthy attachment, physical and intellectual development, and social and emotional health through the development of positive and supportive relationships.
